I went to the Lagos Biennial

Some @afrourbansociety fam & I got a chance to check out the @lagos_biennial which took place Feb 3-10,2024 at the Historical Tafawa Balewa Square, with satellite and side events at other dynamic arts & culture spaces in Lagos. It was a vibe to engage with the various works presented from local and international collaborations. Tho' the highlight of my time was running into our @bakanaldeafrique artist fellowship alumni from Nigeria AND the US. In fact, Sephora Woldu was a featured artist in the Biennial and came in from the Bay. First time in Nigeria!!! I was happy to be in town and do Lagos with Bay Area fam #510ToDa234.

I'm infatuated with the art/culture community in Lagos. It's been so beautiful discovering all the nooks and crannies of art making and presenting. Looking forward to building more connections through our various @afrourbansociety projects/programs with artists of African descent from the continent and through diaspora. OK@kukilycolectivo
