Onwudiwe, A daughters grief
Igbo daughters reflect on the love and pain of losing a parent
An experimental short film featuring three millennial Igbo women reflecting on the memories and impact of the death of their parents.
This short is a prelude to a documentary film on millennials, death of a parent and their tussle with Igbo culture and identity. It is part of ‘Obi gbawara’m//My Heart Shattered or What happens after I die?’ (OGB), a project by Nkeiruka Oruche researching and documenting traditions of death and grief in Igbo culture, and the African diaspora.
